Fares, passes and schedules change frequently and vary by age and route. Always confirm directly with the operator before travelling or buying.

Before you travel

Four things to check

  • Check live departures on the operator's own site or app on the day — engineering works and strikes are common.
  • Buy or validate your ticket before boarding; on-board purchase is more expensive or not possible.
  • Allow extra time with luggage: Leuven station is a short walk or bus ride from most student areas.
  • For flights, confirm which Brussels airport you are flying from — BRU and CRL are far apart.
